ICC Cricket World Cup 2027 Tickets: Ballot Guide, Deadline and Prices

Tickets for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027 are allocated through a free, randomised ballot at tickets.cricketworldcup.com. The ballot opened on 1 October 2026 and closes at 23:59 SAST on 21 November 2026. Prices run roughly USD 9.50 to USD 30. Entering early gives you no advantage.

Deadline: 23:59 SAST, 21 November 2026. That is 02:29 IST and 01:59 PKT on 22 November. Results reach every applicant by email within two weeks of closing.

How the 2027 World Cup ticket ballot works

ICC Cricket World Cup 2027 ticket ballot graphic: free entry, one entry per person per match, randomised draw, closing 23:59 SAST on 21 November 2026, tickets roughly USD 9.50 to 30

It is a ballot, not a sale. You register interest in the matches you want, for free, and if a match is oversubscribed a randomised draw decides who gets the chance to buy. Nothing is bought or paid for during the ballot itself.

Demand is already extreme. ICC reported more than one million applications in just over 48 hours after the ballot opened on 1 October 2026.

The rules, in plain language

  • Free to enter. You are not asked for payment or banking details at registration.
  • 18 or older. A parent or guardian can request tickets for a child inside their own entry.
  • One entry per person per match. You can enter as many different matches as you like.
  • Up to four tickets per entry. Asking for four does not mean you will be offered four.
  • Entering early does not help. Selection is randomised where demand exceeds the allocation.
  • Entries cannot be edited. You can only withdraw your entry as a whole, not one match from it.
  • Duplicate entries are disqualified.
  • One ballot covers all three countries. There is no separate South African, Zimbabwean or Namibian process.
  • Accessible seating: flag it at checkout and you will be contacted before purchasing opens.

What happens after the ballot closes

  1. You get a confirmation email when you submit an entry. If it does not arrive, check your spam folder before re-entering — duplicates are disqualified.
  2. Within two weeks of 21 November 2026, every applicant is emailed the result, successful or not.
  3. If you are selected, a further email gives you purchase instructions and a defined window to buy in.
  4. Tickets you do not buy inside that window may be released back into inventory.
  5. If you are not selected, later sales phases follow and are announced by official ICC email.

The thing most people get wrong: being selected does not mean you have tickets. It means you have been invited to buy, within a time limit, and possibly fewer than you asked for. Treat the result email as a starting pistol, not a confirmation.

How much are ICC Cricket World Cup 2027 tickets?

Roughly USD 9.50 to USD 30 per ticket depending on the match, as stated in ICC’s fixture and ticketing announcement. Knockout matches and India fixtures sit at the top of that range; early group matches at the bottom.

Exchange rates move, so we do not hard-code rupee or PKR figures that go stale. Convert at today’s rate before you budget. The ticket is the cheapest part of the trip: flights to Johannesburg, Harare or Windhoek, accommodation and internal travel will dominate the cost.

Which matches are hardest to get

ICC published application counts after the first 48 hours. These are the matches where a randomised draw matters most:

MatchDateApplications in first 48h
India v Pakistan, group stage10 October 2027over 100,000
South Africa v India31 October 2027over 86,000
India v Australia7 October 2027over 80,000
India v Pakistan, Super 77 November 2027almost 75,000
Final21 November 2027almost 65,000

If your heart is set on one of these, enter it — but enter some less contested fixtures in the same ballot too. There is no limit on how many matches you apply for, and nothing to lose by spreading entries.

Where to enter, and what to avoid

The only official route is tickets.cricketworldcup.com. The ballot format exists partly to stop automated buying and resale, so tickets offered elsewhere before the official sale has even happened should be treated with suspicion.

Frequently asked questions

When does the 2027 Cricket World Cup ticket ballot close?

23:59 SAST on 21 November 2026. That is 02:29 IST and 01:59 PKT on 22 November 2026.

Does it cost anything to enter the ballot?

No. Entry is free and you are not asked for payment or banking details at registration. You only pay if you are selected and choose to buy.

Does entering early improve my chances?

No. Where demand exceeds the allocation, selection is randomised. An entry on the first day and an entry on the last day are treated identically.

How many tickets can I request?

Up to four per entry, and one entry per person per match. You may be offered fewer than four.

Can I change my ballot entry?

No. Entries cannot be edited after submission. You can only withdraw your entry as a whole, not remove a single match from it.

What if I am not selected?

You are still emailed the result. Further sales phases follow after the ballot and are announced by official ICC email.

Can fans outside South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia enter?

Yes. The ballot is open to fans worldwide, and one ballot covers every match in all three host countries.

Is there an age limit for entering the ballot?

You must be 18 or older to enter. Tickets for children are requested inside an adult’s entry, within the maximum of four.
